Boris Dalchev is a set and costume designer with over 35 shows and performances in his biography. He has worked in various theatres in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Shumen and Ruse. He has exhibited his graphics and illustrations in solo and group exhibitions. Most recently he participated in the group exhibition "In the past year" at the Sofia Arsenal - Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as "Dramaturgy of space" - SBH, section "Scenography". Together with Mihaela Dobreva they founded the association "Supromat" focusing on site-specific and interactive art. Currently Boris Dalchev is a PhD student in scenography at the National Academy of Arts, where he is also an assistant professor at the Department of Scenography. For his work Dalchev has been nominated twice for scenography at the national Icarus Awards. His collaborative work with Mihaela Dobreva has also been awarded a nomination at the national Ikar Awards in both the category of Scenography and Contemporary Dance and Performance. Also award for scenography at the 25th National Festival of Small Theatrical Forms, 2018, and diploma for contribution to the development and promotion of Bulgarian culture from the Ministry of Culture for 2021.
