Aleksandra Chobanova

Education:

 From 2017 to 2022 I studied at the National Natural Mathematical High School "Acad. Л. I studied physics and mathematics at the National Academy of Sciences of L. Chakalov.

 Since 2022 I have been a student at the National Academy of Arts with a major in scenography. 

Extracurricular activities:

• From 2008 to 2013 I attended the Puppet Theatre "Zornitsa" at the National Palace of Children;

• From 2014 to 2022 I acted in the theatre school "VEDNA" for drama theatre. In 2019, I performed as a stage designer in the play "Dear Pamela";

• Since the summer of 2017, I have been studying painting in the Master Class of watercolorist and scenographer Nikola Angelakov;

• Since October 2021, I have been studying plastic anatomy with Peter Hristov. 

General exhibitions:

• 2022 - a general exhibition of the students of Nikola Angelakov.

Art competitions:

• 2020 - first place in the competition "Clean Energy for a Clean Future", organized by the Bulgarian Atomic Energy Forum (BULATOM);

• 2021 - second place in the competition "I Can - Here and Now" in the category of concept art of a video game on a given theme;

• 2022 - first place in the competition "I Can - Here and Now" in the category of concept art of a video game on a given topic.

Jobs:

• From 2020 until now I have been working on the mathematics website EasyMath.BG as a lecturer, and from 2021 I became the artist of all the advertisements and some drawings in the videos. Four collections were published, the covers of which are my work;

• 2021 - I was an illustrator in the sports equipment company "GEODON BALKAN Ltd", drawing 8 characters in the present time, based on Bulgarian folk tales.

In the second semester of my first year we started working on the play Roman Bath by Stanislav Stratiev. After a thorough study of artistic time, architecture, and fashion, we began drawing sketches of our set. Then we started making 1:20 scale models out of cardboard and plexiglass.

The set design was made in 2019 with the great help of the head of VEDNA Krasimira Metodieva. Nikola Angelakov helped with advice on the sketches and my family helped with the set design. The working process lasted two months, with a total of 12 performances in May and June 2019 on the stage of Sredets Hall and the Krasno Selo - Hippodruma Ritual Hall.
